Bucket Tech

Tech tied to bucket (aka Oil Panic)This bucket can do more than just counter projectiles.
Pretty easy, some setups required.

Bucket Jumping:

Done by using Oil Panic (when not full) mid air, then using Oil Panic again while you are still going up in a double jump. This is usually used as a recovery mixup, either helping you reach stage without Fire Panic or stalling an extra second before you use your recovery.

These bucket techniques will help you use part of Mr. Game and Watch's kit in more ways.

Midair Turning with Bucket:

Edgeguarding Mr. Game & Watch is very difficult due to the hyper-presence of Fire, but not impossible. After getting launched off the stage by the opponent, you may be frequently facing towards the stage, meaning that your defenses for dissuading recoveries is limited to D-Air and F-Air. However, if you use Bucket, and then face away from the direction you're trying to recover in, G&W will be able to swat away a lot more edgeguarding attempts made by the opponent with his highly spammable, extremely active B-Air. Professional Mr. Game & Watch player Miya (ミーヤー) frequently uses this technique, look for it in their recorded VODs!

Absorbing weird projectiles

Most projectiles that can be absorbed either work by facing towards them or spacing around them, but some of the projectiles in the game cannot be absorbed so directly. (A video on it that covers the same things https://youtu.be/G2A4c_A6Wn4)

Link's Remote Bomb or Steve's TNT:

This can be absorbed if Link detonates the bomb at a bad timing, but you can absorb it yourself by doing a buffered instant double jump F-Air, then holding down and b once you see the fair animation start. This will give you just enough time to absorb the remote bomb. If you have platforms though this process is made easier by letting you just do a full hop fair, landing on platform, and using bucket. The latter method can be combined with a z drop if you have the remote bomb already in your hand, not that you can not grab Steve's TNT. These both can explode on their own and be absorbed after 30 seconds (Link's remote bomb) and 8 seconds (Steve's TNT).

Duck Hunt Cans:

This can be easily absorbed if you reflect it midair and bucket the landing explosion, though if it's on the ground best thing is to reflect it so Duck Hunt can not use it then do jab 1 to bucket, or dair spike to bucket. These only work though if the can has not been shot or hit, if it has been hit but not on a platform you can do nair 4 to bucket or usmash to bucket. It is fine for it to land on a platform, since the process will still work. Though if the can is on a platform drop off the platform. do a nair, and as you land use bucket. Some advice is to hit the can with the center hitbox of nair so that the can does not accidently fall offstage. Note that you do not have to use Duck Hunt's can as an attack, and remember that if you have not absorbed it yet Duck Hunt can still use the bucket against you.
