More Varied Colorcoding
I strongly suggest having more varied color-coding. Something like Dustloop is a good reference point. We should estabilish distinct colors for:
- Specials: I suggest something closer to the GameCube's B button, like #be2222 or #fe2f2f, due to its recognizability in the plat FG community.
- Strongs: I have no statistics, but do players use Xbox B (East) or X (West) more for strongs? Smash tradition would have specials on B (East). Therefore, Red would be used for specials, and something like a yellow or blue for strongs.
- Shield: If yellow is used for strongs, then blue should be shield, and viceversa. Perhaps Parry could use the same color, as a related defensive option.
- Grabs: current color isway too similar to normals' color. Preferrably juxtaposable to shield- if blue is shield, then it could be purple; if yellow is shield, then it could be green.
- Jump / Full Hop / Short Hop: While many FG wikis lack a dedicated Jump color, if we consider how central aerial movement is to plat FGs, I think having a dedicated Jump color could significantly improve readability. Pink sounds ideal considering its tamer color. Wavedashes, ledge cancels, etc can use this same color, too.
- DI: As a major defensive option, it would perhaps be best to feature a color for this mechanic as well (ideally separate from shield), especially on more in depth pages related to Combos, Tech, and Matchups.
